2. Research local artisans and custom furniture makers: Start by looking for local woodworkers and furniture makers who specialize in custom wood furniture. Check their websites, social media, and online reviews to get a sense of their style and quality of work.
3. Visit showrooms and workshops: If possible, visit the showrooms or workshops of custom furniture makers to see their work in person. This will allow you to assess the quality of their craftsmanship and get a feel for their design aesthetic.
4. Ask for recommendations: Seek recommendations from friends, family, or interior designers who may have experience working with custom furniture makers. Personal recommendations can be valuable in finding a reputable and skilled artisan.
5. Inquire about materials and construction: When considering a custom furniture maker, ask about the types of wood they use and the construction methods they employ. A reputable maker should be able to provide detailed information about the materials and techniques they use.

7. Get quotes and compare prices: Ask for quotes from multiple custom furniture makers and compare the prices. Keep in mind that quality materials and craftsmanship are worth paying for, so consider value and quality, not just the lowest price.
8. Check references: Before committing to a custom furniture maker, ask for references from past clients. Contact these references to inquire about their experience working with the artisan and the quality of the finished furniture.

For 30 years, furniture maker Pristine Custom Wood Furniture has been building custom wood furniture that is unusual, unique, rustic, contemporary and one of a kind. In recent years he has been buying recycled urban trees in an effort to reuse, repurpose and recycle salvaged urban hardwood trees that would otherwise be taken to the landfill or chopped up into firewood. Paul and his wife Kathie built a solar wood shop that is off-grid and nestled on a hillside in the Sapphire Mountains in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana. It seemed only logical that using solar power to build his custom wood furniture would lead to more ecological use of hardwood lumber. Eco friendly handmade furniture has now become the goal. “Green” Eco furniture that is good for the environment.
Organic shapes are used in his custom live edge tables, desks, boardroom and conference tables. Natural edges and live edges make his slab dining tables and other slab furniture truly unique and one of a kind. Paul can also straight edge the slab tops if you’d prefer straight edges instead of live edges?

A 4’ x 22’ long live edge claro walnut slab was used to build a custom conference table that is now the centerpiece of a business outside of Orlando, Florida. The unique live edge table was installed into the center of the building in a 20’ x 40’ room with glass walls on either side. Each individual office runs along side the table looking toward the center of the building where the 22’ custom conference table resides sitting upon a steel base on a concrete floor. The owner of the business flew to Montana and drove to our solar powered wood shop to discuss design features. Discussing electrical cutouts for the table top, table base options and moved onto an executive desk with return for his office. He ended up using 3 steel I-beams for the base of his boardroom conference table. He was amazed at the beauty and variety of color in his live edge claro walnut top!
George Nakashima and his book “The Soul Of A Tree” truly has inspired Paul’s slab style furniture. We miss him, however, we will carry on the Nakashima tradition of fine handcrafted live edge furniture with organic shapes.

1. Determine your specific requirements: Consider the dimensions, shape, and design of the table that will best suit your conference room and accommodate the number of people you expect to regularly seat around the table.
2. Set a budget: Custom conference tables can vary widely in price, so it’s important to establish a budget that you are comfortable with and that aligns with the quality and features you are looking for.
3. Research reputable manufacturers and suppliers: Look for companies that specialize in custom conference tables and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality products. Reading customer reviews and testimonials can also provide valuable insights into the reliability and reputation of the manufacturer.
4. Consider the materials and design options: Custom conference tables can be made from a variety of materials, including wood, glass, metal, and more. Consider the aesthetic and functional aspects of different materials, as well as design options such as built-in power outlets, cable management, and other features that can enhance the table’s functionality.
5. Get quotes and compare options: Once you have a shortlist of potential manufacturers or suppliers, request quotes for your custom conference table design. Compare the quotes based on the quality of materials, craftsmanship, customization options, and overall value for money.
6. Request samples or mockups: If possible, ask for samples or mockups of the custom conference tables to get a better sense of the quality and design before making a final decision.
7. Consider additional services: In addition to the table itself, consider the additional services that the manufacturer or supplier can offer, such as delivery, installation, and warranty options.
